Castle Subaru Portage Hosted Subaru Loves Pets Adoption Event on October 25th
As a part of the Subaru Loves Pets initiative, our Castle Subaru dealership in Portage, IN hosted their 9th annual Pet Adoption Event at Founder’s Square. We had an amazing event with our partners, The Humane Society of Hobart, Lakeshore PAWS, and Giant Paw Prints. Along with an amazing group of volunteers and fur babies, we had vendors from all around the Portage area who came out and participated in our event as well.
Supporting our community means more than helping customers find the right vehicle. At Castle Subaru of Portage, we’re proud to support local pet adoption and facilitate an opportunity for members of the community to meet adoptable animals and learn more about the incredible work the local rescue organizations do.

Castle Subaru of Portage hosted this event so animal rescue shelters and businesses in the community could help support amazing dogs and cats get adopted. It was a popular event with a lot of people showing up to support these amazing organizations trying to get these four legged companions to their forever home.
We would like to thank our partners, the amazing volunteers, and the vendors who all showed up and helped make this an amazing event. Here at Castle Subaru of Portage, we believe that when the community comes together, we can make a real difference and we would not have been able to do this without our Castle team at Subaru, all the volunteers, and the people from the community.
About Our Partners
The Humane Society of Hobart is a nonprofit animal shelter dedicated to rescuing, caring for, and finding loving homes for homeless and abandoned animals in the Hobart, Indiana community. Through adoption services, community outreach, and animal welfare programs, the organization works to improve the lives of pets and promote responsible pet ownership.
Lakeshore PAWS is a nonprofit, volunteer-driven animal rescue organization based in Valparaiso, Indiana, dedicated to finding loving homes for abandoned and unwanted dogs throughout Northwest Indiana. Through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and community partnerships, Lakeshore PAWS gives homeless pets a second chance at finding their forever families.
Giant Paw Prints is a nonprofit, volunteer-driven dog rescue organization based in Westville, Indiana, dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs in need. Through compassionate care, foster-based support, and responsible adoption practices, Giant Paw Prints works to give every dog a safe, loving forever home while promoting responsible pet ownership throughout Northwest Indiana.

We look forward to hosting events like these that not only give a platform for animal rescues to get their pets to their forever homes, but also bring the community together for a fun-filled day engaging with each other and meeting new fur babies.
