October is pet month at Subaru of America. The Subaru Loves Pets initiative challenges dealers to find creative ways to engage the local communities they serve to support their mission, “To help all pets find homes and support animals who need a second chance,” and Castle Automotive Group delivered on two fronts. Both Castle Subaru McHenry and Castle Subaru Portage rose to the occasion by hosting pet adoption events.
Castle Subaru McHenry, our Subaru dealer located in McHenry, IL, hosted their annual “Fetch A Friend” Pet Adoption Event on the afternoon of Saturday, October 24th in support of A Heart For Animals, a no-kill shelter and volunteer-run rescue serving McHenry County, Illinois that brought adoptable pets and several volunteers. Attendees of the event donated pet food, supplies, treats, financial contributions, and more to benefit the shelter. Additional support came from Castle Subaru McHenry’s entertainment partner, Hannah B. from 102.3 Free Country FM, who helped promote the event and hosted a live radio remote at the dealership during the afternoon. One lucky pet was adopted during the event, finding their forever home.
Castle Subaru Portage, our Subaru dealer located in Portage, IN, also hosted their annual Subaru Loves Pet Adoption Event in Founder’s Square Park on Saturday, October 25th benefiting the Humane Society of Hobart, Lakeshore PAWS, and Giant Paw Prints, each bringing adoptable pets to the event. During the event, attendees enjoyed a Pet Halloween Costume Parade, a 50/50 Raffle, free face painting, live demonstrations from the Portage K-9 unit, and more. Castle Subaru Portage also hosted a pet donation drive to benefit the participating pet shelters.
