This year’s Food Drive at Castle Chevrolet located in Villa Park was a great success and surpassed its 2019 goal! The Food Drive took place on November 11th – December 6th, with all the donations benefiting the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Some of the areas of Chicago that will benefit from the donations Castle Chevy has donated include Westchester, Bellwood, Berkeley, Hillside, LaGrande Park, and Western Springs. Some of the items donated include peanut butter, canned beans, canned soup, canned vegetables, canned fruit and much more. Many chose to bring in their cans to the Chevrolet Dealership or had the option to donate by purchasing food online.
The Food Depository is part of a united community effort working to bring food, dignity and hope to all of Cook County, the hub for a network of more than 700 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and other programs. Chicago’s Food Bank provides food for hungry people and strives to end hunger in and around the community. This program specifically helps certain areas of Chicago that need it the most. More importantly, the Chicago Food Bank provides efforts in not only providing food but aiding in the root cause of hunger. Some programs include public benefits outreach for job training.
The team at Castle Chevrolet in Villa Park, Illinois is always honored to give back to Chicago communities in various ways.
